Nearing the summer season.Small memorial plaque on the park grounds.A variety of local vegetation can be seen around the park.A small hike from the parking lot affords visitors some magnificent views of the Palouse canyon.A hike up to and behind the overlook leads to some trails which afford a different view of the canyon.Further south a sweeping view of the canyon greets hikers.Cold temperatures and strong winds line the canyon with ice.When the temperatures drop in the winter, Palouse Falls rewards those brave enough to head out into the elements.Little Palouse Falls is only 3 miles outside of Washtucna, but is located on private property. The view, however, is equally stunning.
